So much to say....

...so little energy to type!
A week ago (May 12th) the 3 of us and my mom dad and eric all hopped on a plane to Ananheim for the weekend to see my brother graduate. of course, we had to go visit mickey while we were there too. our flight left at 7:30pm Wednesday night and I was hopeful that Haiden would settle in and fall asleep on the plane. My hopes were dashed and crushed...and I thought the entire trip was horrible; that is, until we came home - but that's another story.

We left and Haiden was fussy. She continued to be sqirmy and fuss most of the way down. She was over tired and when she gets like that it's really hard to get her calmed down. I did however get to experience the joy of changing a poopy kid on a plane though.

So potty training on vacation isn't easy - nuff said on that topic. The changing table is really small on a plane. I realized Haiden was stinky so I folded it down and laied her on it. Put a clean diaper under her and opened her up. As I tried to pull out the dirty diaper, either Haiden wiggled or the plane moved (or both) and the turd rolled out of the diaper onto the new one. Now I have poo all over and I'm scrambling to clean it up and grab another clean diaper. It was at this point that Haiden realized what was above her....the toilet seat covers. So, as I am wresting her, trying to clean up 2 dirty diapers and poo, all while standing in a way too small bathroom on a moving plane....there are pieces of toilet seat covers flying everywhere. The whole bathroom was covered. And being that I (a good clean tidy parent) picked up every piece, i know that she had to have atleast yanked 10 or more of those suckers out! It was insantity. But I survived.

Thanks to grandma moving up from a few seats away - we survived the plane ride. It wasn't that bad as I look back - I had no idea what the flight home would be like.

May 13th - Disneyland!
We made it to Disneyland on Thursday and met up with Adam and Kierra just after lunch. Haiden's first ride was the Finding Nemo submarine. She wasn't sure about sitting still at the start but once we were moving she really liked it! After lunch we made it to Small World and let me just say that it went from low on our list of like rides to way up at the top. Haiden loved it - she was so excited to see everything, and filled with pure joy - how could we not love the ride now. (side note, all we have to do is start singing that song and she perks right up and starts dancing...it's great!)

She went on Dumbo and the Carousel and all the "kid" rides. We took turns watching her while we went on the big rides. It was a good day, long but good and thankfully the park closed at 8pm so we were forced to go back to the hotel at a reasonable hour. I can't say the same for Friday.

May 14th - Disneyland day 2!
We spent the day again at Disneyland but started off with the first half of it at California Adventure. California Screaming is still my favorite ride and probably will be for a long time. There wasn't much there that Haiden could do, she was too little. But, we did go on the new Toy Story ride. It was AWESOME! We saw the Aladdin play, and best of all Uncle Adam got Haiden some Minnie ears! I love them, and Haiden is learning to love them too.

We met up with some friends Friday night. My Friend Brian Johnson from Highschool and his wife Jen and 2 girls. We ate dinner then went on Small world again (time #3). Why? Because Haiden loves it and when Haiden loves something....we do to. For now anyway! We saw a parade that day - fun and then ended the night with fireworks - madness. It was insane there; way too many people in too little of space. Anyway, Haiden did okay for the fireworks. She was a little scared on them, but all she did was put her head on my shoulder and eventually she fell asleep there. She slept, we shopped, and got back to the hotel around 1:30am.

May 15th - Graduation and and Angel's game!
We got up Saturday morning and headed off to Adam's graduation. We sat on bleachers; hard bleachers. So thankfully it was a short ceremony. The weather was georgous and we got some great family pictures outside with him. We are proud of him and his accomplishments - now we are just eagerly waiting for him to come back home and find a job! He's planning on moving back this August!
From Graduation, we went on to In and Out Burger - not good in my opinion, but the boys wanted to go. And then back to the Hotel. We left dad there and the rest of us went to Downtown Disney to wrap up our souvenier shopping. Then...we rushed back to get in the car and head to our first ANGELS game! It was fun, Haiden got another hat. At this point she was starting to get a little fussy and squirmy; but over all she was good. Grandma walked around with her for a while and she fell asleep. The game was awesome. The Angles trounced the A's - it was refreshing to go to a winning game for once (poor Mariners).
We got back to the hotel by 10pm and then packed for the next mornign. Our flight left at 7:30 which meant we had to be up by 5:30 - YUCK!

May 16th -
The flight home was HORRIBLE. Haiden had hit her limit of go go go ing...and was over tired. She cried for atleast half the flight and at one point, not long after take off, i joined her. The people near us were not kind at all - the people infron of us even plugged their ears and were yelling at Haiden to stop. Unfortunately the lady had no excuse, as she was there with her 2 grown kids. We were doing our best, everything we could, but Haiden was just SO TIRED. Eventually she fell asleep on my lap and she was good the rest of the way. Needless to say, we won't be flying anywhere anytime again soon...unless we have some drugs. =o)
There are too many pictures to post, so check them out on my facebook page:

I'll try to post more soon and get everyone caught up more. Haiden's about to turn 18months, so I'll do a 1.5year recap then!
